Request received
We’ve received your trial request.
Thanks for reaching out to Northbound Jiu Jitsu Academy. We’ll contact you by email or text to choose the right first class together. Your class date and time still need to be confirmed.
What happens next
We’ll choose the right class together. There’s no need to submit another request.
Watch for our email
Our team will follow up with you. Check your spam folder too. Reply with your availability or anything you’d like us to know.
Look at the class times
See which times could work, then confirm the right class with us before travelling to the academy. Viewing the schedule doesn’t reserve a place.

No experience needed. We’ll introduce you to the coach and a senior training partner, and start with safety and the basics.
A clean trial gi is included
We’ll lend you a jiu-jitsu uniform for your trial. Bring a clean athletic T-shirt and underwear. Trying no-gi? Bring athletic shorts too.
Arrive 15 minutes early
Once we’ve confirmed your class, arrive 15 minutes early so we can show you around and answer your questions. Bring water.
Go at your own pace
Your first class isn’t a test. You can ask questions and take breaks. There’s no pressure to compete or make a long-term commitment.
